Herts Handling Training Ltd
As well as manual handling training, we offer an individual client or workplace assessment service, and are experienced in writing policies and protocols in the field of manual handling. We teach on undergraduate and post graduate courses at several universities, and have run seminars for CSCI and the Health and Safety Executive.
Training can be provided at your venue of choice, which could be in-house or at a local training venue. All our trainers are able to supply an overhead projector or flash drive and course materials, small handling equipment and a hoist, and we provide handouts and certificates of attendance for all delegates. All we ask is space, seating and fit participants!
We also provide training in paediatric manual handling, and provide consultancy work for the Disabled Living Foundation in London. Generic or specialised course in paediatric handling, theatre staff handling, driver/escorts, staff in day centres, nursery nurses, therapists and risk assessors, are to name but a few of the courses we have on offer. We can also tailor a course to meet your specific needs. All our courses provide sufficient theory to enable staff to understand the importance of back care, and the legal requirements to protect staff, clients and employer. At least half the session will be dedicated to practical work.
